Vanderpump Rules: My Review

Lisa Vanderpump is one of the baddest chicks in Beverly Hills but her spinoff series Vanderpump Rules needs more Lisa and less of the pretty and shallow bar and waitstaff of SUR, her chic West Hollywood eatery. Stassi Schroeder is definitely the bitch of the SUR bunch, a pretty blonde who gets her rocks off by bullying newbies and her latest victim Scheana just happens to be the former lover of actor Eddie Cibrian, something that Stassi just can't forgive or forget since Eddie was married at the time of their 2 year affair. I get the distrust of Scheana, but Stassi is acting like Eddie was her hubby at the time of the affair. Frankly I think Stassi's attitude has more to do with Scheana being attractive and uber friendly with Stassi's live in boyfriend Jax, one of SUR's bartenders.

The other staff members Kristen, Tom, and Katie kind of blended into the background of the pilot but here's some background on them. Kristen and Katie are besties with Stassi and Kristen dates Tom, another bartender at SUR who also has his own band. I didn't catch the name of the band but they must be doing well since Tom mentioned they are headlining at The Viper Room, one of L.A.'s most popular venues for live music.. Kristen is a model/actress and has been dating Tom for 5 years and they seem to be pretty happy unlike Jax and and Stassi who's relationship is pretty tumultuous due to Stassi's insecurities and constant need to argue. Katie's boyfriend is also named Tom and he is not an employee at SUR, but he is best friends with Tom, the bartender. The only one I want to see more of is Peter, the hunky bar manager who was only seen a few times in this episode. He dated Stassi a few months and is the resident manwhore since he's dated pretty much the whole staff (minus the guys) at one point or another. Peter's nice to look at, and I need more of him Bravo! Less Stassi and more Peter would keep me tuning in.
